Joshua 3:3b-17, Matthew 25:14-30

The story of the Israelites carrying the Ark of the Covenant through the Jordan River, filled with the most precious things they possessed, leads us to stop and ask the question: what do we carry with us? What burdensome things do we carry that we need to lay down? And how might we carry with us anew the miraculous, loving, redemptive presence of our God, no matter where we may go?
